Benvenuti. Come vi siete incontrati? Potete dirci qualcosa su come la band è arrivata fino a questo punto? Da dove venite?

Ciao come va?. Beh, veniamo da Sydney, in Australia e ci siamo incontrati attraverso l’affascinante mondo delle colonne dei musicisti ricercati lol. A volte può essere piuttosto un’impresa mettere insieme una band, ma basandoci sulla visione di produrre qualcosa che personalmente troviamo sia musicalmente piacevole che soddisfacente dal punto di vista dei testi, negli ultimi anni siamo riusciti a superare una serie di difficoltà personali e professionali per arrivare alla realizzazione molto vicina del nostro secondo album.

Perché l’hard rock tra tanti generi musicali?

Buona domanda. È difficile sapere esattamente cosa attiri qualcuno verso un certo tipo di musica. Nel complesso ascoltiamo musica su tutta la linea e questo sicuramente influenza il nostro suono generale, ma c’è qualcosa nell’energia grezza della musica Hard Rock e nel modo in cui può coprire una gamma di sentimenti, dinamiche, suoni. emozioni, luci, ombre ecc. che troviamo attraenti.

“Ready Kid?” Di cosa parla questa canzone?

“Ready Kid?” È stata originariamente scritta da Dahlia come una sorta di pezzo elettronico/tastiera prima ancora che ci incontrassimo, ma era una canzone che aveva sempre avuto in mente per una band come AP ed è qualcosa che abbiamo poi sviluppato ritmicamente e strutturalmente nel canzone che ora ascolti. Dal punto di vista dei testi è una chiamata alle armi dalla prospettiva di entrare nell’età adulta con tutte le sue esigenze, aspettative e opportunità – nel caso di Dahlia anche essere un’artista ed essere pronta ad affrontare tutte le sfide che la vita ti pone. Da qui il grido di battaglia per tutte le generazioni: “Ready Kid?”

C’è anche il video di “Ready Kid?”. Potete anticipare ai nostri lettori dove è stato girato e quando potranno vederlo?

Sì, è davvero una grande performance di Dahlia – che ha anche montato il video (è una ragazza di grande talento) ed è stata girata nelle Blue Mountains, NSW Australia insieme ad alcuni filmati in studio che servono a completare la narrazione su come prendere un’idea e portarla alla piena fruizione. Com’è il tuo concerto dal vivo perfetto? Cosa non deve mancare?

Un locale di medie dimensioni con un buon impianto audio. Amore e apprezzamento per la musica, per gli artisti, per il pubblico, e solo per l’opportunità di esserci è un must.

Siamo in un mondo che crolla sotto molti aspetti… Qual è il ruolo della musica in questo mondo?

Sì, viviamo in tempi interessanti e stimolanti, ma penso che ogni generazione possa dire lo stesso, forse alcune più di altre. C’è qualcosa nella musica che – per me, trascende tutte le altre arti nel modo in cui può consumarti e parlarti. Quindi, mentre la musica può soddisfare molteplici esigenze – che si tratti di stimolazione intellettuale, abietta evasione, fascino da pop star, liberazione emotiva, cameratismo, comunità ecc. pensieri ed emozioni.

Quale pensate sia il punto di forza della vostra musica? E qual è il punto debole?

Chi può dirlo? Direi che siamo musicisti affermati con la capacità di sviluppare un’idea e raccontare una storia con la nostra musica e che siamo in grado di offrire una buona dose di varietà all’interno di quello che è essenzialmente un suono omogeneo di Hard Rock. Quest’ultimo punto, tuttavia, a seconda di chi sei e di dove ti trovi, queste cose possono essere un punto di forza o un punto debole.

Con quale spirito nasce una vostra canzone? Potete parlarci del processo creativo che c’è dietro?

Se parliamo di “Ready Kid?”, il fuoco nel ventre della canzone è l’entusiasmo per la vita e lo spirito di voler uscire e raggiungere. Avendo scritto la canzone essenzialmente come un pezzo elettronico, il processo creativo dietro la sua creazione una canzone di Accidental President era prima di tutto capire l’emozione di Dahlia dietro di essa e poi da una prospettiva di chitarrista rock / cantautore immergermi in essa. Attraverso ciò è arrivato lo sviluppo dei riff, l’armonia complementare, la sincope e la potenza e l’energia complessive a cui alla fine siamo arrivati.

Chi sono i vostri artisti o gruppi preferiti?

Sono un grande fan della musica FULL STOP. Ma come chitarrista band come Pink Floyd, Alter Bridge e Dream Theater – per citarne 3 sono in cima alla lista. Dahlia ha di nuovo una gamma piuttosto ampia di gusti, ma da una prospettiva rock è una fan di Maria Brink, The Pretty Reckless, Evanescence – per citarne 3.

Cosa c’è nel vostro futuro? Potete parlarci dei vostri progetti futuri?

Ora c’è una domanda! Quest’anno siamo piuttosto pieni di uscite singole che precedono l’uscita del nostro secondo album Doveva essere così? più avanti nel corso dell’anno – attraverso il quale scorre un po’ il tema del “mondo che crolla”. A seconda di come andrà tutto ciò, prenderemo decisioni e coglieremo le opportunità di conseguenza. Ma prevalere su tutto ciò è solo continuare a crescere, essere produttivi e ricordarsi di godersi la vita!

Welcome. How did you meet? Can you tell us a bit about how your band has come so far? Where do you come from?

Hi how’s it going?. Well we’re from Sydney Australia & we met through the glamorous world of Musicians wanted columns lol. It can be quite an undertaking to put a band together sometimes, but based upon a vision of producing something we personally find both musically enjoyable & lyrically satisfying, we’ve managed to forge forward through a number of personal & professional difficulties over recent years to arrive at the very near realisation of our second album.

Why hard rock among so many musical genres?

Good question. It’s difficult to know exactly what it is that attracts anyone to a certain kind of music. On the whole we listen to music right across the board and that certainly influences our overall sound, but there’s something about the raw energy of Hard Rock music and the way that it can cover a range of feelings, dynamics, sounds. emotions, light, shade etc. that we find appealing.

“Ready Kid?” What is this song about?

Ready Kid? Was originally written by Dahlia as a sort of electronic/keyboard piece before we’d even met, but it was a song that she’d always had in mind for a band like AP & is something that we then developed rhytmically & texturally into the song that you now hear. Lyrically it’s a call to arms from the perspective of entering adulthood with all its demands, expectations & opportunities – in Dahlia’s case also being a performer, & being ready to stand up to face all the challenges that life throws at you. Hence the rallying cry for all generations – ‘Are you Ready Kid?’

Yes, it’s a really great performance by Dahlia – who also edited the video (she’s a very talented girl) & was filmed in the Blue Mountains, NSW Australia along with some studio footage that serves to complete the narrative about taking an idea and bringing it to full fruition. How is your perfect live concert? What must not be missing?

A medium sized venue with a good sound system. Love & Appreciation for the music, for the artists, for the audience, & just for the opportunity to be there is a must.

We are in a collapsing world in many respects….What is the role of music in this world?

Yes we are living in interesting & challenging times, but then I think every generation can say the same – maybe some more than others. There’s something about music that – for me, transcends all the other arts in the way it can consume you & talk to you. So whilst music can cater for multiple requirements – be it intellectual stimulation, abject escapism, Pop star appeal, emotional release, camaraderie, community etc. For us I feel it falls somewhere between the joy of writing/performing & the opportunity to fully express our thoughts & emotions.

What do you think is the strong point of your music? And what is the weak point?

Who’s to say? I’d say that we are accomplished musicians with the ability to develop an idea and tell a story with our music and that we are able to deliver a good deal of variety within what is essentially an homogenous Hard Rock sound. That last point however – depending on who you are and where you stand on such things can be a strong point or a weak point.

With what spirit is your song born? Can you tell us about the creative process behind it?

If we’re talking about Ready Kid?, the fire in the belly of the song is enthusiasm for life & the spirit of wanting to get out there & achieve .Having written the song as essentially an electronic piece, the creative process behind making it an Accidental President song was to first of all understand Dahlias emotion behind it & then from a Rock Guitarist/songwriter perspective immerse myself in it. Through that came development of the riffs, the complementary harmony, the syncopation & the overall power & energy that we’ve ultimately arrived at.

Who are your favorite artists or bands?

I’m a massive fan of music FULL STOP. But as a guitarist bands like Pink Floyd, Alter Bridge & Dream Theater – to name 3 are high on the list. Dahlia again has quite a broad range of tastes, but from a rock perspective she’s a fan of Maria Brink, The Pretty Reckless, Evanescance – to name 3.
