Love Ghost – God Damn
“God Damn”, nuova traccia dei Love Ghost, é solo un altro giro nella testa di Finn…che fa da Virgilio a ND KOBIrapper messicano d’ispirazione trap… (Caronte )traghettatore di anime é invece Shantra alla produzione ed il sound é chiaramente diverso dalla vena rock/punk della band californiana.
Niente distorsioni, loops lofi, stereofonia curata, tutto talmente coerente e a se stante che pare fatto con qualche sito AI. Pare…dico pare… Poiché anche la cassa 808 é misurata ad arte, fin troppo precisa e una coda sui sub super cremosa e definita – di solito si usa per ‘botta’, per distorsione. Colpisce e cesella ma non ti abbraccia né ti minaccia. Il plug-in Soothe potrebbe esserne la causa applicato al master per tenere a bada qualche asperita’ dei loops campionati…
Solito fraseggio vocale di Finn che sulla voce pero’ non ha auto-tune, gli effetti in parallelo fanno uscire la sua timbrica più autentica e pulita, ma in realtà rauca, ”invecchiata”, il nostro sembra avere improvvisamente qualche anno in più… Sicuramente kilometri, produzione, lavoro ed esperienza e qualche buon compressore che fa uscire i “rospi” dalla gola invece di nasconderli …che dire….io apprezzo!
ND KOBI interviene più pulito, educato con controcanti e rap di chiaro stampo trap… senza eccessi gansta…Si introduce pulito e liscio nella base delicata e TRAP da incubo sentimentale lofi.

“God Damn”, new track by Love Ghost, is just another spin in Finn’s head…who acts as Virgil to ND KOBI, rapper with Mexican trap inspiration… as (Caronte) ferryman of souls Shantra produces the track and the sound is clearly different from the rock/punk vein of the Californian band.
No distortions, lofi loops, careful stereophony, everything is so coherent and self-contained that it seems like it was made with some AI site. It seems…I say it seems… Since the 808 cabinet is also artfully measured, far too precise and a super creamy and defined tail on the subs. It hits and chisels but doesn’t embrace or threaten you. The Soothe plug-in could be the cause when applied to the master to keep some roughness of the sampled loops…
There is Finn’s usual vocal phrasing which however does not have auto-tune on his voice, the effects in parallel bring out his more authentic and clean timbre, but in reality hoarse, “aged”, suddenly seems to be a few years older… Definitely production, work and experience and some good compressor that lets the “toads” out of the throat instead of hiding them… what can I say… I appreciate it!
ND KOBI intervenes more cleanly, politely with counterpoints and raps of a clear trap style… without excessive gansta… He introduces himself cleanly and smoothly with the delicate TRAP base from a lofi sentimental nightmare.
