Finalmente possiamo vedere il video di “Enter the storm”. Dove è stato girato?
È stato girato su Møns Klint, nel sud della Danimarca. È una scogliera di gesso vecchia di 70 milioni di anni, alta 128 metri e lunga 7 km.
Com’è stato collaborare con Aleksandr Sugak?
È stato fantastico! Aleksandr è un regista e un cameraman esperto, che ha partecipato allo Short Film Corner del Festival di Cannes e in molti altri festival cinematografici. Ha recentemente pubblicato il suo nuovo cortometraggio intitolato “Can You Feel My Heartbeat”, quindi sa come girare la storia e questo è esattamente ciò di cui avevamo bisogno! È anche una persona eccezionale, si sveglia alle 5 del mattino, si arrampica sulle scogliere e fa sempre del suo meglio per ottenere lo scatto perfetto.
Di cosa parla “Enter the storm”?
“Enter the storm”(video subito sotto) parla della necessità di prendere le decisioni, di agire e di fare un cambiamento senza aspettare che un pastore mostri il modo più semplice. Non seguire la guida di nessuno, poiché il modo semplice non è sempre il modo giusto Tutti noi siamo in grado di fare la differenza e questo è ciò che abbiamo cercato di sottolineare in Enter The Storm.
Innanzitutto il progetto di cover con molte visualizzazioni su Youtube. Quindi questi due singoli emozionanti, vale a dire “Mayhem” e “Enter the storm”. Cosa ci aspetta nel prossimo futuro in termini di pubblicazioni? Forse un album o un ep?
Anche se abbiamo pubblicato Enter The Storm solo un paio di giorni fa, stiamo già lavorando alla nostra prossima uscita, che sarà Queen Of Blame. Abbiamo girato video musicali per questo alla fine di settembre ed è stata la più grande sparatoria che abbiamo mai avuto! Venti persone di talento hanno lavorato duramente per due giorni senza il resto, quindi non vediamo l’ora di condividere i risultati! Inoltre, stiamo pianificando di pubblicare il nostro album completo di debutto nel 2020.
Quali sono le differenze tra “Mayhem” e “Enter the storm”?
In termini di testi Mayhem riguarda cose che non dovresti fare, mentre Enter The Storm indica le possibilità. In termini di melodia, Mayhem è distruzione e Enter The Storm è guarigione.
State per affrontare un tour europeo. Come vi sentite emotivamente?
Non riusciamo a trovare le parole giuste per esprimere quanto siamo eccitati! Avere nove spettacoli in dieci giorni, vedere nuovi posti e, soprattutto, incontrare nuove persone, a cui piace la nostra musica! Non è un sogno di ogni musicista?
Come avete conosciuto la band Ravdina con cui affronterete il tour europeo?
Ho trovato Darya quando faceva parte di una band chiamata Fallcie. Sono rimasto davvero colpito dalle sue capacità vocali e le ho chiesto se poteva insegnarmi, e in realtà è diventata la mia insegnante vocale! Sembra che fossi un bravo studente, dato che andremo in tournée insieme 😉
Avete un’agenzia di booking? In caso contrario, come avete trovato le date?
Trovare le persone giuste è stata la parte più difficile della prenotazione di un tour. Certo, prima di iniziare non avevamo nessuno che ci potesse aiutare. Abbiamo cercato i contatti di promotori e agenzie di prenotazione per un paio di settimane prima di imbatterci nell’agenzia di prenotazione di Metallurg. Ci ha aiutato molto con molti dei nostri spettacoli in Polonia. Abbiamo anche ricevuto un grande supporto dall’agenzia Same Soul Booking, Laiks Metālam, Muzikos Faktorius e una band di Praga chiamata Attack The Hero, che ci ha aiutato con il resto degli spettacoli.
Cosa pensate del movimento ambientalista di Greta Thunberg? Che cosa pensate dei cambiamenti climatici?
Greta non dice nulla di nuovo, ci sono anche alcune band come Gojira che scrivono testi principalmente sull’ambiente, e pensiamo che sia grandioso. Il cambiamento climatico è una cosa reale ed è importante riconoscere questo problema, in modo che un giorno l’umanità possa passare alle soluzioni.
Infine, date un consiglio a una band che sta per iniziare …
Non mollate. Se ami veramente la musica, continua pure. Il duro lavoro paga e puoi sicuramente farlo. Siate pazienti e non mollate…

Finally we can see the video of “Enter the storm”. Where was it shot?
It was shot on Møns Klint on South of Denmark. It’s a 70 million-year-old chalk cliffs, 128 meters high and 7 km long.
What was it like collaborating with Aleksandr Sugak?
It was great! Aleksandr is an experienced director and cameramen, who participated in Cannes Film Festival’s Short Film Corner and many other film festivals. He recently released his new short film called Can You Feel My Heartbeat, so he knows how to shoot story, and this is exactly what we needed! He is also a great person, waking up at 5am, climbing cliffs and always doing his best to get the perfect shot.
What is “Enter the storm” about?
The song is about the necessity to make the decisions, to take action and make a change without waiting for a shepherd to show the easy way. Not following anyone’s guidance, since easy way is not always the right way. All of us are able to make a difference and this is what we tried to point out in Enter The Storm.
First the cover project with lots of views on Youtube. Then these two exciting singles, namely “Mayhem” and “Enter the storm”. What’s in the works for the near future in terms of releases? Maybe an album or an ep?
Even though we released Enter The Storm only a couple of days ago, we are already working on our next release, which is going to be Queen Of Blame. We have been shooting music video for it in the end of September and it was the most massive shootings we have ever had! Twenty talented people worked very hard for two days without the rest, so we can’t wait to share the results! Also, we are planning to release our debut full-length album in 2020.
What are the differences between “Mayhem” and “Enter the storm”?
In terms of lyrics Mayhem is about things you should not do, while Enter The Storm points out the possibilities. In terms of melody, Mayhem is destruction, and Enter The Storm is healing.
You are about to face a European tour. How do you feel emotionally?
We can’t find the right words to express how excited we are! Having nine shows in ten days, seeing new places and, most important, meeting new people, who like our music! Isn’t that a dream of every musician?
How did you meet the band Ravdina with whom you will face the European tour?
I found Darya when she was a member of a band called Fallcie. I was really impressed with her vocal skills and asked if she could teach me, and she actually became my vocal coach! Looks like I was a good student, since we are going on tour together 😉
Do you have a booking agency? If not how did you find the dates?
Finding the right people was the hardest part of booking a tour. Of course, before starting we had nobody to help us. We have been searching contacts of promoters and booking agencies for a couple of weeks before we came up across Metallurg Booking agency. He helped us a lot with lots of our shows in Poland. We also got a great support from Same Soul Booking agency, Laiks Metālam, Muzikos Faktorius and a Prague based band called Attack The Hero, who helped us with the rest of the shows.
How do you deal with the environmental movement of Greta Thunberg? What do you think about climate change?
Greta says nothing new, there are even some bands like Gojira who write lyrics mainly about the environment, and we think it is great. Climate change is a real thing and it is important to acknowledge this problem, so that one day humanity can move on to solutions.
Finally, give an advice to a band that is about to start …
Don’t give up. If you truly love music, just keep going on. Hard work pays off, and you can definitely do it. Just be patient and don’t give up.
