Carmilla – Psycho Man
“Psycho Man” è il nuovo singolo della band svedese che porta il nome Carmilla. Avendo già pubblicato un singolo, la nuova formazione sta davvero iniziando a riunirsi, raccogliendo il pieno vantaggio del talento di Nathalies e Felix.F.
Il singolo “Psycho Man” delinea la nuova direzione in cui si sta dirigendo Carmilla. Questa volta essi hanno avuto l’assistenza della fidanzata di Felix B, Sally Bea, nel creare la melodia e riordinare i testi di Elin Andersson. “Se dovessimo descrivere la differenza, lo chiameremmo più “Rhythmic Death Metal”, secondo le parole della band.
“Ero lirico sull’atteggiamento delle parti strumentali e mi sono subito venute in mente le parole di Psycho Man”, afferma Sally Bea.
Come sempre, “Psycho Man” è stato registrato presso i Claustrophobic Studios e il tocco e il sentimento del produttore Ronny Hemlins lega la canzone insieme.

Anche nel nuovo singolo “Psycho Man” Carmilla non fa mancare riff pesanti come macigni che suscitano un ottimo appeal grazie ad un songwriting sempre tanto attento da parte della band. Nathalie Astrada è sempre convincente con il suo alternarsi tra growl e clean. Come non notare i classici passaggi superveloci del death metal che rendono il tutto tanto elettrizzante grazie ad un blast beat killer. Le sonorità in parte anche groove metal mi fanno pensare sia a band come Spoil Engine e Arch Enemy che band come Lamb of God e Pantera. Entusiasmante il solo di chitarra verso la fine: un sigillo opportuno.

“Psycho Man”, new single of Carmilla, death metal band from Sweden, is out on all major digital platforms. Having already released one single, the new line-up is really starting to come together, reaping the full benefit of Nathalies’ and Felix.F’s talent.
The single “Psycho Man” outlines the new direction where Carmilla Band is heading. This time around we had assistance from Felix B’s girlfriend, Sally Bea in melody-making and re-arranging Elin Andersson’s lyrics. If we were to describe the difference, we would call this more “Rhythmic Death Metal”.
“I was lyric about the attitude of the instrumental parts and the words Psycho Man immediately came to my mind” says Sally Bea.
As always, “Psycho Man” was recorded at Claustrophobic Studios and producer Ronny Hemlins ́ touch and feel ties the song together.

Even in the new single “Psycho Man” Carmilla does not miss heavy riffs like boulders that arouse excellent appeal thanks to a songwriting always so careful by the band. Nathalie Astrada is always convincing with her alternating between growl and clean. How not to notice the classic super-fast passages of death metal that make everything so electrifying thanks to a blast beat killer. The sounds also partly groove metal make me think of both bands like Spoil Engine and Arch Enemy and bands like Lamb of God and Pantera. Exciting guitar solo towards the end: an appropriate seal.
