Love Ghost – Dead Brother
Love Ghost è una band di Los Angeles composta da Finnegan Bell (chitarra e voce solista), Ryan Stevens (basso, voce), Samson Young (batteria, voce), Nicky Renard (chitarra) e Cory Batchler (tastiere).
Attualmente stanno lavorando a un nuovo album con il leggendario produttore Danny Sabre (The Rolling Stones, U2, David Bowie, Marilyn Manson, ecc.). Nel 2019 hanno girato l’Irlanda (suonando Whelan’s, Crane Lane e Roisin Dubh, tra gli altri), il Giappone (11 spettacoli a Tokyo, Osaka, Kobe e Kyoto), ed erano una delle band sul palco principale al Festivalfff di Ambato, Ecuador. Love Ghost ha vinto numerosi premi tra cui Best Alternative Rock Band (Hollywood Music in Media Award), The Jean Luc Goddard Award e premi in oltre 30 festival cinematografici in tutto il mondo per i loro video musicali. La band ha fatto da spalla ad artisti come Buckcherry, Berlin, Smash Mouth, The Young Dubliners, The Tubes, Fuel e Mundy.

“Dead Brother” è una canzone oscura, inquietante e suggestiva e il video di questa canzone offre elementi visivi horror, un video diretto dall’attore Jeff Daniel Philips che ha recitato in tanti film di Rob Zombie. Video girato dall’operatore di telecamera di Rob Zombie Hassan Abdul-Wahid. Video prodotto da Danny Sabre (Marilyn Manson, Black Sabbath. Colonna sonora di Blade, ecc.).
“Ispirata da un sogno in cui ho ucciso mio fratello, questa è una metafora per aver ucciso una parte di me stesso”, secondo le parole del cantante Finnegan Bell.

Un basso corposo domina gran parte della canzone, un pezzo dall’atmosfera dark/gothic, un pezzo che presenta sonorità che mandano la mente ad alcune canzoni dei Babylon Zoo o di Placebo e Muse, insomma l’alternative rock britannico degli anni passati e presenti.
Refrain orecchiabili electro, versi ripetuti e chorus insieme scatenano tanto appeal. Poi ci sono stacchi poderosi molto convincenti e refrain marziali verso la fine.
Love Ghost sceglie la via del rock sia elettronico che heavy con un video dalle tinte horror e Jeff Daniel Philips di certo non è stato scelto a caso per questo nuovo esperimento di questa formazione di Los Angeles che ci stupisce sempre…Aspettiamo con ansia il loro album…

They are currently working on a new album with the legendary producer Danny Saber (The Rolling Stones, U2, David Bowie, Marilyn Manson, etc.). Single review:
A full-bodied bass dominates much of the song, a piece with a dark / gothic atmosphere, a piece that presents sounds that remind the mind of some songs of Babylon Zoo or Placebo and Muse, in short the British rock alternative of the past and present years .
Catchy electro refrains, repeated verses and chorus together unleash a lot of appeal. Then there are very convincing powerful deadlifts and martial refrains towards the end.
Love Ghost chooses the path of both electronic and heavy rock with a horror video and Jeff Daniel Philips certainly was not chosen at random for this new experiment of this Los Angeles formation that always amazes us … We look forward to the their album …
