WEDNESDAY 13 - anticipano Halloween con la pubblicazione di "Necrophaze"

I WEDNESDAY 13 sono qui per inaugurare il vero inizio della stagione di Halloween. Oggi il Duca della Paura e i suoi demoni diabolici conosciuti collettivamente come WEDNESDAY 13 hanno pubblicato il loro attesissimo nuovo album, “Necrophaze”, su Nuclear Blast Records. Con ospiti spaventosi come Alice Cooper, Roy Mayorga (STONE SOUR), Alexi Laiho (CHILDREN OF BODOM), Jeff Clayton (MURDER JUNKIES di GG Allin) e Cristina Scabbia (LACUNA COIL) tra gli altri, “Necrophaze” è il disco a tema con la stagione, grazie al suo calderone di riff mostruosi e testi che spaventano, pronti a fare divertire gli ascoltatori.

Fortemente influenzate dagli incubi notturni della vita reale di Wednesday stesso, da storici serial killer e da una serie di film horror degli anni ’80, le idee dietro “Necrophaze” sono stranamente familiari, spaventose e molto divertenti. Essendo un collezionista di media e giocattoli, WEDNESDAY 13 è stato ispirato dalla brama di varietà, creando una doppia copertina per questo album. Quella del vinile ha un’atmosfera da fumetto “Creepshow”, mentre quella del CD ricorda “The Fog” di John Carpenter.
“Necrophaze” è stato registrato da Michael Spreitzer, produttore, ingegnere del suono e chitarrista dei DEVILDRIVER, ed è il primo lavoro di WEDNESDAY 13 ad avere degli ospiti, tra cui Alice Cooper, Roy Mayorga degli STONE SOUR (che cura parti di synth inquietanti, autentiche e ispirate alle colonne sonore degli anni ’80), Alexi Laiho dei CHILDREN OF BODOM e Cristina Scabbia dei LACUNA COIL. Partecipa all’album anche Jeff Clayton, membro delle leggendarie band punk ANTISEEN e MURDER JUNKIES di GG Allin.
In autunno WEDNESDAY 13 porterà il suo spettacolare horror show in Europa. Unica data italiana: 12 ottobre Pinarella di Cervia (RA) – Rock Planet Club.
