Morphide – è uscito il video di “Aftermath”
I Morphide sono una band progressive metal femminile, con sede a Copenhagen, in Danimarca. La loro musica può essere descritta come “respirante”, con passaggi costanti tra toni ariosi e melodici e riff aggressivi e pesanti, migliorati con la voce pulita ed estrema del cantante.
Nel giugno 2019 i Morphide hanno pubblicato il loro singolo di debutto “Mayhem” e già in un paio di mesi si sono diretti verso il loro primo tour europeo che copre Lettonia, Lituania, Polonia e Repubblica Ceca. Il duo dei principali compositori, Chris ed Eisssa, prende ispirazione da band come Spiritbox, Northlane, Tesseract e Karnivool.
Presentazione di Aftermath:
Morphide ha pubblicato la nuova canzone “Aftermath”. La canzone proviene dal loro album di debutto che dovrebbe essere pubblicato entro la fine del 2020. La traccia continua un tema orientato alla persona, concentrandosi sull’identità umana e sui problemi dell’interazione sociale nei suoi testi.
La versione incompiuta della canzone è stata suonata durante il loro tour europeo nel novembre 2019, che è stato completato e registrato dopo che Morphide è tornato in studio nel 2020. Il missaggio e il mastering sono stati eseguiti da Forrester Savell, famoso per il suo lavoro con queste band progressive metal nei panni di Twelve Foot Ninja, Karnivool e Skyharbor.
La pandemia è diventata non solo la sfida, ma anche l’influenza principale per il visualizzatore. Gli scatti all’aperto sono stati effettuati durante il primo giorno dopo la fine ufficiale del blocco. Doveva mostrare la vita di una città completamente vuota, con strade deserte e negozi chiusi.
Il visualizzatore ha un approccio fai-da-te completo, filmato e montato dai membri della band.
Recensione del singolo:
Un progressive metal/djent alquanto gotico quello che ci offrono i Morphide con il loro nuovo singolo dal titolo “Aftermath”. Eissa si destreggia tra growls/scream e cantato in clean con abilità che ci lascia stupiti, allibiti.
Cambi di ritmo, variazioni, ritmo incalzante: tutto questo potete trovare in “Aftermath”, un’altra perla fiammante dei Morphide. 3 minuti di scariche energetiche miste con intermezzi più sensuali o melodici.
Come non notare pure il video urban a supporto del singolo: i Morphide o con le loro storie/video o con la loro musica o con la loro lead vocalist fanno di tutto per apparire cool…ma forse non si devono sforzare di farlo.
La cosa che più colpisce della band è il loro stile unico, riconoscibile, per un progetto musicale che ha già tanti proseliti e che tanti altri conquisterà ancora.

Morphide released the new song “Aftermath” and it’s pandemic visualizer. The song is from their debut album that is expected to be released by the end of 2020. The track continues a persona oriented theme, focusing on the human identity and issues of social interaction in it’s lyrics.
The unfinished version of the song was played on their European tour in November 2019, which was completed and recorded after Morphide got back in the studio in 2020. The mixing and mastering was done by Forrester Savell, famous for his work with such progressive metal bands as Twelve Foot Ninja, Karnivool and Skyharbor.
The pandemic became not only the challenge, but also the main influence for the visualizer. The outdoor shots were taken during the first day after the official end of the lockdown. It was meant to show the life of a completely empty city, with deserted streets and closed shops. The visualizer has a complete do-it-yourself approach, filmed and edited by band members.
Morphide is a female-fronted progressive metal band, based in Copenhagen, Denmark. Their music can be described as “breathing”, having constant switches between airy, melodic tones and aggressive, heavy riffs, enhanced with the singer’s clean and extreme vocals. In June 2019 Morphide released their debut single “Mayhem” and already in a couple of months headed on their first European tour covering Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and the Czech Republic. Main composers duo, Chris and Eisssa, take inspiration from such bands as Spiritbox, Northlane, Tesseract and Karnivool.
Single review:
A somewhat gothic progressive metal / djent what Morphide offer us with their new single entitled “Aftermath”. Eissa juggles growls / scream and sung in clean with skill that leaves us amazed, stunned.
Changes of rhythm, variations, pressing rhythm: all this can be found in “Aftermath”, another flaming pearl of Morphide. 3 minutes of mixed energy bursts with more sensual or melodic interludes.
How not to notice the urban video in support of the single: Morphide either with their stories / videos or with their music or with their lead vocalist do everything to look cool … but maybe they don’t have to force themselves to do it.
The most striking thing about the band is their unique, recognizable style for a musical project that already has many followers and that many others will conquer again.
