Drop Top Alibi – è uscito il singolo “Summer Nights and City Lights”

Combinando la loro atmosfera moderna con influenze classiche, Drop Top Alibi ha creato un’esperienza rock and roll intramontabile e avvincente che raramente si vede nel panorama rock moderno. Drop Top Alibi è pronto a rilasciare materiale nuovo di zecca nel 2019. I singoli in arrivo della band sono prodotti dal cinque volte vincitore del Premio Juno e dal produttore e cantautore nominati Grammy Award Michael Hanson (precedentemente di Glass Tiger). Recensione di “Summer Nights and City Lights”:

La canzone comincia con arpeggio, cantato e percussioni. Poi entrano gli altri strumenti e la canzone si apre con dei riff modern metal tanto marziali. Le sonorità che ascoltiamo sono prettamente alternative metal e ci ricordano band come Audioslave, Soundgarden e Velvet Revolver. Ci sono distorsioni epiche in questa canzone e si controbilanciano con linee melodiche date da chitarra e cantato tanto clean. In alcune parti del pezzo c’è pure un certo drumming.

Di certo la produzione sonora è di alto livello come pure il songwriting e l’appeal della canzone. Ti viene voglia di ascoltare mille volte “Summer Nights and City Lights” se sei un patito sia di alternative metal che di sonorità particolarmente dure e distorte. Stupendo il dialogo tra le due chitarre in alcune parti della canzone.

Insomma “Summer Nights and City Lights” è una canzone per conquistare il mondo intero con la sua proverbiale “coolness”.

Formed in June of 2016 by Brandon Gregory and Dylan Wykes, DTA have quickly become one of the most high energy and mesmerizing rock and roll acts in Toronto, Ontario. This song is about being blinded by the light in pursuit of your wildest dreams. Knowing that you may not succeed, that you may die, but not giving a fuck about it because it’s all you’ve ever wanted. “Don’t know where the sun goes down, but I gotta live fast to make a sound, Momma don’t you frown…”

Single review:

The song begins with arpeggio, cantato and percussion. Then the other instruments enter and the song opens with such martial modern metal riffs. The sounds we listen to are purely alternative metal and remind us of bands like Audioslave, Soundgarden and Velvet Revolver. There are epic distortions in this song and they are balanced with melodic lines given by guitar and sung so clean. In some parts of the piece there is also a certain drumming.

Certainly the sound production is of a high level as well as the songwriting and the appeal of the song. You want to listen to “Summer Nights and City Lights” a thousand times if you are a fan of both metal alternatives and particularly hard and distorted sounds. Superb dialogue between the two guitars in some parts of the song.

In short, “Summer Nights and City Lights” is a song to conquer the whole world with its proverbial “coolness”.
