Vellur Vaar – ecco il suo singolo “Feel You”
‘’Feel you’’ è un singolo su come la vita a volte può essere dura, ma anche su quanto sia importante non arrendersi, cercare sempre la luce. Parla di quanto sia facile che l’oscurità e le energie negative continuino a provare a disturbare la tua vita e i tuoi sentimenti.
E se prestiamo attenzione, c’è luce intorno a noi, con noi, alcune persone che amiamo e conosciamo possono essere quella luce anche per noi. La canzone parla di questa connessione, una persona che è una luce per l’altra. Quando sentiamo e vediamo qualcuno che amiamo possiamo sentirci meglio. E possiamo anche inviare buone energie a quella persona. Mantenendo sempre un buon cuore, una buona mente. Ricordando coloro che sono speciali per noi. Mostrando che le nostre intenzioni e i nostri buoni sentimenti fluiscono in questa connessione, augurando il meglio, desiderando più luce per quella persona.
Recensione del singolo:
“Feel you” di Vellur Vaar comincia con questo basso rotondo e roboante accompagnato da un beat semplice. Poi arriva pure un synth atmosferico di sottofondo. Si aggiunge il cantato e il tutto ha un sapore electro-new wave. E’ come portare qualcosa da “Pornography” dei The Cure nell’elettronica contemporanea offrendolo con qualche spruzzata di The Sisters of Mercy. Un cocktail di una figaggine infinita per chi ama le sonorità gothic o dark o comunque melanconiche.
La canzone è strutturata in 3 pseudo-chorus(si differenziano per qualche verso) che si intervallano con una strofa. La struttura in sé della song, struttura davvero scarna, serve per esaltare al massimo le sonorità minimal. Le sonorità sono minimal ma comunque esprimono colori e sensazioni struggenti. La struttura minimal ha facilitato anche il mix: il ridurre tutto all’essenziale aiuta nel mettere al loro giusto posto i pattern sonori riguardo le frequenze. Bel lavoro di sound design sul beat ma anche sul cantato e sulla linea di basso. Il master risulta pulito, potente e nitido.
“Feel you” di Vellur Vaar è una canzone tra luci ed ombre…è nell’alba che vediamo tutto chiaramente, tra luci ed ombre…è al crepuscolo che vediamo tutto chiaramente, tra luci ed ombre…Dopo aver ascoltato “Feel you” un 20 volte mi sento di dire che è una canzone di cui ti puoi veramente innamorare, una canzone per le tue melanconie infinite, melanconie che sono come vuoti incolmabili!? In fondo, alla fine del tunnel o dell’oscurità o nella nebbia ci sono sempre bagliori e spiragli di luce…

“Feel you” by Vellur Vaar starts with this round and booming bass accompanied by a simple beat. Then an atmospheric synth comes in the background. The singing is added and the whole thing has an electro-new wave flavor. It’s like bringing something from “Pornography” by The Cure into contemporary electronics offering it with a few sprinkles of The Sisters of Mercy. An infinitely cool cocktail for those who love gothic or dark or melancholic sounds.
The song is structured in 3 pseudo-choruses (they differ in some ways) that are spaced out with a verse. The structure of the song itself, a really bare structure, serves to maximize the minimal sounds. The sounds are minimal but still express poignant colors and sensations. The minimal structure also made the mix easier: reducing everything to the essential helps in putting the sound patterns in their right place regarding the frequencies. Nice work of sound design on the beat but also on the singing and on the bass line. The master is clean, powerful and clear.
