Sol Arctica – Dancing Here Always
Sol Arctica è il frutto di un’idea elettronica-strumentale del musicista e compositore di Melbourne Chris Lugton. Il progetto fonde insieme stili musicali ed elementi di una varietà di generi che vanno dal synth retrò all’hard rock.
Originario di un background hard rock/metal estremo, in precedenza musicista in tournée e cantautore chiave per molti progetti, incluso un progetto che è stato premiato come “Miglior artista rock” agli Australian Independent Music Awards 2016, Chris si è esibito sia a livello nazionale in tutta l’Australia che in un scala internazionale come chitarrista di sessione in Germania. A livello commerciale Chris ha anche lavorato con i produttori per creare musica per pubblicità e colonne sonore.

La traccia di batteria è stata rimbalzata su e indietro da una traccia da 2″24 utilizzando 456 Analog Tape, un metodo popolare negli anni ’80. Presenta anche il classico preset del pianoforte elettrico registrato da una Yamaha DX7 vintage originale.

La canzone in esordio mette insieme basso, tastiera synth ed arpeggiatore con sonorità tanto electro/synth pop. Poi parte il cantato di Caterina Branca.
Il tutto sembra tanto anni 80′: sonorità soffici ci abbracciano, ci coccolano. Caterina Branca ha un carisma ineccepibile e ci conquista subito con le sue espressioni vocali e con la sua verve anche sensuale. Qua e là arrivano anche sonorità soul e i versi ripetuti conferiscono anche loro a donare tanto appeal. Il solo di sassofono poi impreziosisce il tutto e lo rende tanto sofisticato ed elegante oltre che estremamente figo.
“Dancing Here Always” è una canzone di livello internazionale che testimonia il talento degli artisti messi in campo oltre al maestro di danze Sol Arctica. Master, produzione sonora e mixing da 90/100 secondo il nostro giudizio, livello tecnico che rende il prodotto di alto spessore artistico. Tanto da apprezzare pure il songwriting.

Sol Arctica is the electronic-instrumental brainchild of Melbourne-based musician and composer Chris Lugton. The project fuses together musical styles and elements from a variety of genres ranging from retro synth to hard rock.
Originally from a heavy hard rock/metal background, previously a touring musician and key songwriter for many projects, including a project that was awarded ‘Best Rock Artist’ in the 2016 Australian Independent Music Awards, Chris has performed both nationally across Australia and at an international scale as a session guitarist in Germany. Dancing Here Always is a love song that encompasses a vintage feel in its composition and production. The debut song combines bass, synth keyboard and arpeggiator with a lot of electro / synth pop sounds. Then the cantato by Caterina Branca starts.
Everything seems so much 80’s: soft sounds embrace us, pamper us. Caterina Branca has an impeccable charisma and immediately conquers us with her vocal expressions and with her sensual verve. Here and there also soul sounds arrive and the repeated lines also give them a lot of appeal. The saxophone solo then embellishes the whole and makes it so sophisticated and elegant as well as extremely cool.
