L’artista turco SADIMSORA sperimenta con i vocaloid e le AI Vocals per il suo ultimo singolo, “J1satsuしろ”, una nostalgica traccia horror chiptune che coglie perfettamente la sofferenza della crisi esistenziale.
Mescolando melodie caotiche e suoni pixelati con bassi malati a 8 bit, la canzone esplora i conflitti etici e l’apatia derivati dal nichilismo. Se vediamo questo mondo come una simulazione e un’esperienza o un esperimento e se riceviamo più stimoli negativi che positivi, cosa ci impedisce di “porre fine a questo esperimento”?
Con il sound design caotico e all’avanguardia tipico di SADIMSORA e le voci rilassanti del Vocaloid “J1satsuしろ” è profondamente personale e deriva dai pensieri intrusivi dell’artista. Ma potrebbe anche essere compreso da chiunque abbia mai messo in dubbio la propria esistenza.

La canzone esordisce con un basso marziale al quale si accompagna subito un arpeggiatore. Parte anche il cantato femminile ottenuto con Vocaloid. Poi si cambia ritmo e si passa ad una sorta di liquid drum and bass. Ecco che arrivano bridge con interferenze sonore varie che mirano a creare un paesaggio sonoro labirintico. Segue anche un beat trap, diverse variazioni come anche un ritorno al drum and bass. Insomma una traccia complessa e stratificata che mette insieme diversi generi musicali, una sorta di pastiche musicale, un esperimento ardito e cool che arriva all’ascoltatore sfrontato, sregolato. Songwriting stupefacente quindi e ci viene da pensare senza dubbio a Squarepusher per l’intreccio incredibile di ritmi e suoni.
Davvero buono il livello tecnico: ottimo il sound design, molto buono il mixing ed equilibrato e ben dosato il master. Niente arriva in distorsione, senza strafare la potenza sonora arriva tutta.
SADIMSORA ci ha colpito subito per il suo sound tanto particolare. L’uso del Vocaloid è ottimo, il songwriting pure e il livello tecnico. Le sonorità stratificate comunque riconducono ad un’indietronica sperimentale di alto livello.

Turkish artist SADIMSORA experiments with vocaloids and AI Vocals for his latest single, “J1satsuしろ”—a nostalgic horror chiptune track that perfectly nails the suffering from existential crisis. With SADIMSORA’s signature chaotic and avant-garde sound design and soothing vocals of the V ocaloid, “J1satsuしろ” is a deeply personal and derives from intrusive thoughts of the artist. But it could also be understood by anyone who ever questioned their existence.
“Ethics are hologram. When you have faith in something -a religion, a community, love, fate, etc…- you have impenetrable walls that protect you from dangerous and uncertain thoughts. When you have faith in nothing except your own life, these walls will turn into curtains that you can pass through. Others will see you as a ghost passing through a wall. And you yourself will agree you are not ‘alive’ anymore. You are just existing for the sake of existing.” says SADIMSORA.

Single review:
The song begins with a martial bass which is immediately accompanied by an arpeggiator. The female vocals obtained with Vocaloid also start. Then the rhythm changes and we move on to a sort of liquid drum and bass. Here come bridges with various sound interferences that aim to create a labyrinthine soundscape. A trap beat also follows, various variations as well as a return to drum and bass. In short, a complex and layered track that brings together different musical genres, a sort of musical pastiche, a bold and cool experiment that reaches the listener in a brazen, unruly way. Amazing songwriting therefore and we are undoubtedly reminded of Squarepusher for the incredible intertwining of rhythms and sounds.
The technical level is really good: excellent sound design, very good mixing and balanced and well-measured master. Nothing comes in distortion, without overdoing it the sound power comes in all its glory.
SADIMSORA immediately struck us for its very particular sound. The use of Vocaloid is excellent, as is the songwriting and the technical level. The layered sounds, however, lead back to a high-level experimental indietronica.
