Morphide: è uscito il video di “Mayhem”
Morphide è una band metal / progressive metal attualmente con sede a Copenaghen, in Danimarca. È iniziato come un progetto di cover su YouTube, guadagnando oltre 500.000 stream su tutte le piattaforme e partecipando al grande tributo di Chester Bennington a Riga, in Lettonia. Nel giugno 2019, Morphide pubblica il suo singolo di debutto chiamato “Mayhem” su tutti i servizi di streaming. Morphide è composto da due compositori principali e si ispira a band come Tesseract, Karnivool, Tool e Northlane.

“Mayhem” è un singolo di debutto che riflette il desiderio sociale per la miseria e l’incapacità di andare avanti. Il video musicale è stato filmato da Aleksandr Sugak (vimeo.com/sugak), partecipante al Festival del cortometraggio di Cannes nel 2018. Il singolo è stato mixato e masterizzato da Myroslav Borys-Smith @ Jigsaw Audio.

“Mayhem” offre sonorità alternative metal/progressive metal con sonorità che a tratti fanno pensare a Katatonia a tratti a band gothic metal come Lacuna Coil o Evanescence. Il cantato della lead vocalist Elizabeth Zhovnerchuk subito attira l’attenzione dell’ascoltatore. Costei è capace di cantare sia in clean che in scream/growl con tanta abilità. In una parte della canzone Elizabeth offre anche una sorta di cantato/spoken. Il songwriting è ottimo e la canzone suscita tanto appeal. Pure la produzione sonora è abbastanza buona. Con “Mayhem” i Morphide ci rapiscono letteralmente: come non ascoltare questo singolo 1000 volte!

Morphide is a female-fronted alternative metal / progressive metal band, currently based in Copenhagen, Denmark. It started as a cover project on YouTube, gaining over 500,000 streams across all platforms, as well as participating in large Chester Bennington tribute show in Riga, Latvia. In June, 2019, Morphide releases their debut single called “Mayhem” on all streaming services. Morphide consists of two main composers and takes inspiration from such bands as Tesseract, Karnivool, Tool and Northlane.

“Mayhem” is a debut single that reflects social desire for misery and inability to move on. Music video was filmed by Aleksandr Sugak (vimeo.com/sugak), participant of Cannes Short Film Festival 2018. The single was mixed and mastered by Myroslav Borys-Smith @ Jigsaw Audio.

“Mayhem” offers alternative metal / progressive metal sounds with sounds that at times make you think of Katatonia at times as gothic metal bands like Lacuna Coil or Evanescence. The lead vocalist Elizabeth Zhovnerchuk sang immediately attracts the listener’s attention. She is able to sing both in clean and in scream / growl with so much skill. In one part of the song Elizabeth also offers a sort of sung / spoken. The songwriting is excellent and the song is so appealing. The sound production is also quite good. With “Mayhem” the Morphide literally kidnap us: how not to listen to this single 1000 times!
