Ruins è il primo singolo del secondo album di Marva Von Theo dal titolo Afterglow, che uscirà a febbraio 2021 in formato cd e vinile, in collaborazione con Shades of Sound / Wave Records. Ruins è una melodia pop elettronica con un’estetica noir e i suggestivi paesaggi sonori di Marva Von Theo, realizzati appositamente per una pista da ballo dark disco.

“Sono questa persona che sceglie costantemente di cambiare la sua vita e fare nuovi inizi piuttosto che compromettersi in situazioni inadeguate. Ci sono state volte in cui è diventato chiaro che dovevo ricominciare da una pagina bianca e tutto intorno a me urlava in quella direzione. C’erano stelle tremolanti che aprivano la strada e segni più luminosi del giorno che era impossibile ignorare, un desiderio intrinseco ed una fiamma che non potevano essere domati se non ricominciavo da capo.
