Marva von Theo - il nuovo video "Embrace This Madness"

“Embrace This Madness” è il primo singolo tratto dal secondo album in uscita di “Afterglow” di Marva Von Theo. È una ballata sulla natura impermanente della felicità, la consapevolezza che i nostri sogni potrebbero alla fine diventare realtà ma non sono destinati a durare a lungo. Incarnando pop da sogno, suoni basati su synth in un paesaggio sonoro piuttosto arrugginito e futuristico, Marva Von Theo evidenzia la loro narrazione in un modo intimo e cinematografico.

In questa ballata di fantascienza, i sogni appaiono nella forma di ninfe moderne che tentano il personaggio principale della canzone ad abbracciare le sue fantasie e desideri più mistici e peccaminosi, per assaggiare tutto ciò che ha sempre desiderato. Tuttavia, una sensazione malinconica e presuntuosa che tutto finirà allo spuntare dell’alba al di sopra di questo rituale sognante.

Il regista del video musicale ha immaginato questo sogno surreale in uno scenario oscuro e distopico in cui il tempo si muove sensualmente lento, indossando le luci di “Metropolis”.

“Embrace this madness” è una delle due ballate totali incluse nel prossimo album di Marva Von Theo, “Afterglow“, che sarà un album più dance nel complesso. Tuttavia, Marva Von Theo ha scelto di pubblicarlo come singolo per continuare la loro narrazione da dove era stato lasciata col loro album di debutto “Dream Within a Dream” e colmare il divario tra i loro due album.

Il titolo “Afterglow” ha diversi significati ed estensioni relative al lavoro e alla vita personale di Marva Von Theo ed è stato usato nelle sue tonalità più malinconiche per esprimere questi sentimenti agrodolci quando finisce qualcosa di significativamente bello, che è una relazione, un’esperienza, una certa fase di vita ecc. Marva Von Theo ha preso il suo tempo con questo album per immergersi più in profondità in ogni suono che hanno ideato, per espandere ulteriormente la loro tavolozza sonora, ridefinire la loro visione e trovare l’equilibrio tra musica pop e synth sperimentale, tra poesia e songwriting, tra realtà e sogno.

“Embrace This Madness” è un ottimo biglietto da visita per presentare il prossimo album della band “Afterglow”. Con un chorus smagliante, stupefacente l’ascoltatore viene stordito dalla musica di Marva von Theo che si presenta come una sorta di fiore di loto.

La cantante Marva(in figura sopra) è una dea eterea che danza tra atmosfere electro soffuse. Eleganza e sofisticatezza sono tra le qualità che annoveriamo del nuovo singolo dei Marva von Theo. “Embrace This Madness” is the first single from Marva Von Theo’s upcoming second Album “Afterglow”. It is a ballad about the impermanent nature of happiness, the awareness that our dreams may eventually come true but are not meant to last for long.

Embodying dream pop, synth-based sounds in a rather rusty, futuristic soundscape, Marva Von Theo highlight their storytelling in an intimate, cinematic way.

In this sci-fi ballad, Dreams appear in the form of modern nymphs who tempt the main character of the song to embrace her most mystical, sinful fantasies and desires, to taste everything she has ever wished for. Still, a melancholic, foreboding feeling that everything will come to an end at the break of dawn hovers above this dreamy ritual.

The director of the music video has envisioned this surreal dream in a dark, dystopian scenery where time moves sensually slow, wearing the lights of the Metropolis.

“Embrace this madness” is one of the two in total ballads included in MVT’s Upcoming Album, as “Afterglow” will be a more up-tempo, dance-inspired album overall. Still, Marva Von Theo chose to release it as a single to continue their storytelling from where it was left in their debut album

“Dream within a Dream” and bridge the gap between their two albums. The title “Afterglow” has several meanings and extensions relating to MVT’s work and personal lives and was used in its more melancholic hues to express these bittersweet feelings when something significantly beautiful ends, that being a relationship, an experience, a certain life stage etc. Marva Von Theo took their time with this album in order to dive deeper into each and every sound they contrived, to further expand their sonic palette, to redefine their vision, and to find the balance between pop and experimental synth music, between poetry and songwriting, between reality and dream.
