Marina Ogalla con “Lost in translation” ci propone una canzone dal mood dream pop. Per sonorità mi fa pensare a canzoni di Grimes, Hana e Danz(Computer Magic). Sicuramente colpisce il chorus molto attrattivo. Gli inserti electro rendono la canzone magica, eterea….
Anche “Alone”, “Peter Pan” o “Fine” presentano sonorità simili, sonorità vellutate, soft, allettanti…Insomma, Marina Ogalla ha trovato il suo sound e la sua vocalità si adatta molto al sound che usa….I cori in “Alone” arricchiscono tanto la canzone e sono apprezzabili gli stacchi e il cambio di ritmo. “Peter Pan” è potente e solenne allo stesso tempo. Le linee di basso di “Fine” fanno pensare alle linee di basso di alcune canzoni di Grimes.
Come non notare anche il livello tecnico. Mix, master e sound design sono di alto livello: vicini al 90/100. Tanto buono pure il songwriting per questa artista…

Marina Ogalla, drops the music video for “Lost in Translation”, the last single from her debut EP “All Alone”, a narrative about heartbreak and it’s different stages. While the end of a relationship tends to be covered sadness and tears, Marina surprises with an upbeat track of acceptance, focusing on the miscommunications between two completely different people and realizing that love is not always enough as it gets “lost in translation”.
With lyrics comparing two people to two different worlds and cultures with different languages, Marina is able to illustrate the complexity and difference inside each person. Marina tells us “this was such an upbeat song; I had a lot of fun writing it, even if it was about heartbreak” she continues “that’s why I wanted to make a fun video too”. In its simplicity, the music video for this song accomplishes exactly that, being fun, in which we see her dancing around an empty pier in New York City. Lost in Translation is now available in all platforms.

Marina Ogalla with “Lost in translation” offers us a song with a dream pop mood. In terms of sound she makes me think of songs by Grimes, Hana and Danz (Computer Magic).
The very attractive chorus certainly strikes. The electro inserts make the song magical, ethereal….
Even “Alone”, “Peter Pan” or “Fine” present similar sounds, velvety, soft, tempting sounds… In short, Marina Ogalla has found her sound and her vocals adapt very well to the sound she uses…. backing vocals in “Alone” enrich the song a lot and the breaks and the change of rhythm are appreciable. “Peter Pan” is powerful and solemn at the same time. The bass lines of “Fine” bring to mind the bass lines of some Grimes songs.
How can we not also notice the technical level. Mix, master and sound design are of a high standard: close to 90/100. The songwriting for this artist is also very good…
