Letchen Grey, il gruppo rock di 3 elementi di Los Angeles, influenzato dalla musica degli anni ’70 e ’80, ha un nuovo singolo, “Burn” fuori adesso.
Forse ricorderete i Letchen Grey dalle loro serate sulla Sunset Strip di Los Angeles a metà degli anni ’80. Avanti veloce fino al 2021, quando hanno deciso di unire nuovamente le forze per produrre groove ritmici frastagliati e voci autentiche.
Letchen Gray è guidato dai membri Mark Andersen (chitarra ritmica), Eric Asevo (voce/basso) e Tony Ross (batteria).

Alan Niven, ex manager dei Guns N’ Roses e dei Great White e produttore di “Burn”, dice che la canzone è:
“Una semplice espressione di disprezzo per l’anima ammalata di Los Angeles, una città senza bussola morale, senza intelligenza comune e una determinazione per l’indulgenza personale prima di ogni altra cosa. È una fonte inesauribile di miserabili effluenti mediatici. Essendo la tradizionale destinazione della reinvenzione, sembra che tutti desiderino trasformarsi nel peggio di sé”
Andersen dice che Letchen Gray sta lavorando a 6 nuovi singoli che stanno per registrare e non vede l’ora di suonare presto. “Facciamo del nostro meglio per evocare una connessione emotiva con i nostri ascoltatori suonando musica indimenticabile con testi che riguardano tutti”.
“Burn” è stato prodotto da Chris Catero e Alan Niven.
Recensione del singolo:
La chitarra e il chorus sono i protagonisti della canzone a primo impatto. Una chitarra tanto presente tramite riff cadenzati anni 70 alla Deep Purple o Led Zeppelin o tramite fraseggi o distorsioni o ancora passaggi in solo. Il chorus è tanto figo, come non impararlo subito a memoria….Una ritmica solida sostiene il tutto per una canzone che sembra perfetta per folle in delirio davanti a mega palchi. Pure il bridge colpisce: tanto evocativo e pungente. Un’altra cosa da rilevare è questo basso che in alcuni punti è davvero prorompente. Poi, come non dirlo, il livello tecnico(mix, master e produzione sonora) è davvero alto. Eric Asevo come lead vocalist è una forza della natura.
Insomma “Burn” dei Letchen Grey è super cool, è all’insegna di quella musica hard rock che entusiasma in modo stupefacente.

Letchen Grey, the 3 piece rock band from Los Angeles, influenced by the music of the 70’s and 80’s, has a new, hard-hitting single, “Burn” out now.
You may remember Letchen Grey from their nights on the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles back in the mid 1980’s. Fast forward to 2021, when they decided to join forces again to produce jagged rhythm grooves and authentic vocals with an attitude.
Letchen Grey is led by members Mark Andersen (rhythm guitar), Eric Asevo (vocals/bass) and Tony Ross (drums).
Alan Niven, former manager for Guns N’ Roses and Great White, and producer of “Burn” says the song is, “A simple expression of contempt for the cankered soul of Los Angeles, a city with no moral compass, no communal intelligence and a determination for personal indulgence before all else. It is an endless source of wretched media effluent. As the traditional destination of reinvention it seems that all wish to transform into their worst selves.”
Andersen says that Letchen Grey is working on 6 new singles they’re about to record and looks forward to playing shows soon. “We do our best to invoke an emotional connection to our listeners by playing unforgettable music with lyrics that relate to everyone.”

Single review:
The guitar and the chorus are the protagonists of the song at first glance. A guitar so present through rhythmic 70s riffs to Deep Purple or Led Zeppelin or through phrasing or distortions or even solo passages. The chorus is so cool, how can one not immediately memorize it… A solid rhythm backs it all up for a song that seems perfect for raving crowds in front of mega stages. Bridge strikes too: so evocative and pungent. Another thing to note is this bass which is really overwhelming in some places. Then, how not to say it, the technical level (mix, master and sound production) is really high. Eric Asevo as lead vocalist is a force of nature.
In short, “Burn” by Letchen Gray is super cool, it is characterized by that hard rock music that thrills in an amazing way.
