Infected Rain – Endorphin
Spesso abbiamo parlato degli alternative metallers dalla Moldavia che portano il nome Infected Rain. Dopo l’approdo nel colosso Napalm Records costoro ci offrono il loro ultimo disco dal titolo “Endorphin“.
System failure lo ha ascoltato con attenzione e quelle che seguono sono le nostre considerazioni a riguardo.
“The earth mantra” ci offre un esordio fulminante con un drumming molto importante ed un’uscita ugualmente brutale con tanto groove metal ed un intermezzo tanto evocativo con piano e sonorità ambient. Una canzone che parla dei problemi ecologici e di come l’umanità ha rovinato il pianeta in cui vive.
“Black gold” presenta altri riff modern metal tanto pesanti accompagnati dallo scream potente della lead vocalist sempre capace di articolare la sua voce in tante espressioni. Anche qui arrivano dei synth ad arricchire il sound creando una sorta di vuoto sonoro tanto allusivo. Della successiva “Symphony of Trust” si esalta il chorus accanto a breakdowns e tanta potenza modern metal. Il songwriting e la produzione sonora sono sempre di alto livello in questa band che riesce ad offrire pure tanto appeal grazie al cantato di Lena.
“Pendulum” offre altre tenebre e tanta potenza sonora. I riff e la voce di Lena sono sempre accattivanti e sono tra le qualità migliori di questa band. Anche “Pendulum” offre altri momenti evocativi e risulta uno dei pezzi più accattivanti della serie. “Passerby” è il capolavoro della serie. Qui il songwriting è eccezionale. Un pezzo da ascoltare all’infinito.
Poi arrivano “Lure” e “Victims” con un metalcore impressionante, altri pugni nello stomaco. Questa band riesce ad offrire metalcore, modern metal, groove metal, nu metal, gothic metal, alternative metal, tanti generi tutti insieme che dimostrano che 10 anni sono passati e ormai la band deve solo conquistare il mondo intero con il suo sound tanto sorprendente e riconoscibile.
In “Walking Dead” e “Taphephobia” altri inserti electro accanto alla solita potenza sonora distintiva di questa band. “Taphephobia” inoltre, per alcuni passaggi, sembra una sorta di cavalcata sonora. “Storm” conclude il tutto riportando altri momenti electro super evocativi ed è la canzone che chiude il ciclo iniziato con l’opener “The earth mantra”.
Infected Rain ha accentuato gli inserti electro nel suo sound, inserti spesso presenti nelle sue canzoni, inserti che arricchiscono la sua musica. Una band consapevole dei propri mezzi che riesce sempre a stupire ed ammaliare il suo pubblico, una band pronta per conquistare il mondo intero….

We have often talked about the alternative metallers from Moldova that bear the name Infected Rain. After landing in the giant Napalm Records, they offer us their latest album entitled “Endorphin”. System failure listened carefully and the following are our considerations.
“The earth mantra” offers us a fulminating debut with a very important drumming and an equally brutal output with a lot of groove metal and a very evocative interlude with piano and ambient sound. A song about ecological problems and how humanity has ruined the planet where it lives.
“Black gold” presents other modern metal riffs so heavy accompanied by the powerful scream of the lead vocalist Lena always able to articulate his voice in many expressions. Here, too, some synths come to enrich the sound, creating a sort of so suggestive sound void. Of the next “Symphony of Trust” the chorus is enhanced next to breakdowns and a lot of modern metal power. The songwriting and the sound production are always of high level in this band that also manages to offer so much appeal thanks to the singing of Lena.
“Pendulum” offers more darkness and lots of sound power. Lena’s riffs and voice are always captivating and are among the best qualities of this band. Even “Pendulum” offers other evocative moments and is one of the most captivating pieces in the series. “Passerby” is the masterpiece of the series. Here the songwriting is exceptional. A piece to listen to forever.
Then comes “Lure” and “Victims” with an impressive metalcore, other punches in the stomach. This band is able to offer metalcore, modern metal, metal groove, nu metal, gothic metal, alternative metal, many genres all together that show that 10 years have passed and now the band just has to conquer the whole world with its amazing sound and recognizable.
In “Walking Dead” and “Taphephobia” other electro inserts alongside the usual distinctive sound power of this band. “Taphephobia” also, for some passages, looks like a sort of sound ride. “Storm” concludes the whole by reporting other super evocative electro moments and it is the song that closes the cycle started with the opener “The earth mantra”.
Infected Rain has accentuated the electro inserts in his sound, inserts often present in his songs, inserts that enrich his music. A band aware of its own means that always manages to amaze and enchant its audience, a band ready to conquer the whole world …
